National AALAS Meeting
Each fall since 1950, the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science has held its annual National Meeting. During the five days of the meeting, members and nonmembers come together to enjoy the workshops, lectures, poster sessions, and exhibits. The program is designed to have topics relevant to the entire membership. Exhibitors have an opportunity to interact with AALAS members from the academic community, research institutions, government organizations, and commercial companies.
The AALAS National Meeting is the largest gathering in the world of professionals concerned with the production, care, and use of laboratory animals. The meeting format is continuously evolving. For further information please visit, NationalMeeting.AALAS.org
60th Annual National AALAS Meeting

The Denver meeting was a success, with 4,624 registered attendees and more than 300 exhibitors. Special thanks to the Program Committee, chaired by Stuart Leland, and the Denver Local Arrangements Committee.
The meeting offered nearly 400 sessions on a range of educational, timely topics.
The AALAS Foundation activities during the National Meeting in Denver helped raise $42,925 to support educational outreach. Special thanks to Charles River for sponsoring the Foundation reception, Instech Solomon for sponsoring our auctioneer Dr. Tom Nolan, Steris for sponsoring the 20th Annual 5K Run/Walk, and Allentown and Tecniplast for making a contribution for each person who attended their open house events on Sunday.
The Tech Fair would not be possible without the dedicated and caring support of AALAS commercial members and exhibiting companies. The following companies participated by submitting questions for the Tech Fair exam, donating items for the Tech Fair "goodie bags," donating substantial winner prizes, and providing smiling, mentoring booth staff to answer exam questions. Thanks to all of you!
You can now order audiotapes of education sessions from the 2009 National Meeting. Order recordings of individual sessions, or purchase the complete audio conference for $199.00 domestic ($220.00 international). MP3 files of the recordings will also be available shortly.
