Mile High AALAS Events Recap

International Laboratory Animal Technician Week

International Laboratory Animal Technician Week came to light during the 1999 AALAS National Meeting in Indianapolis. TheCTA created a National Laboratory Animal Technician Week in honor of AALAS' 50th year of existence. Approved by the AALAS Board of Trustees, this annual celebration recognizes laboratory animal technicians for their essential contributions as members of the research team. Because of its success, it was expanded in 2002 and renamed the International Laboratory Animal Technician Week, allowing technicians from around the world to participate in the event.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the 2009 Tech Week! The Mile High Branch Board of Directors assembled and distributed goodie bags, and many of the large facilities in the area held festivities!

Bags were handed out by LAR management on Wednesday. Thanks MHB! Lunch on Friday was sponsored by our Vice President and our University Vet. The taco bar was yummy!
